Greetings Everyone,
With the completion of our fiscal year on June 30, we are pleased to give you a very encouraging report regarding The Good News magazine. I will give you facts and figures that reflect growth in the spreading of the gospel, but while such numbers are exciting, they truly only reflect the output of our efforts. Our main concern is the next step—the outcome of the gospel message. In other words, how is our work affecting and changing the lives of our readers?
The most encouraging evidence of that impact comes through the steady stream of personal comments and questions that come to our office and ministry. All of the work and expense is worth it when people write to tell us how their eyes have been opened to the prophecies about what is really happening in the world, or how our articles and booklets have helped them know how to deal with personal problems, or how they finally understand what the Bible really teaches.
We are striving to do all we can to put the gospel in the hands of more readers. The Good News print run has now passed the 500,000 mark for each issue, which is a substantial increase of 23 percent over this time last year. Visitors to its Web site, www.gnmagazine.org, increased by 65 percent last year, to nearly two million!
In addition to The Good News, we publish 33 booklets. We were recently very pleased to reach a major milestone—passing the five million mark for booklets printed! The top 12 titles printed to date are as follows:
- What Happens After Death?
- What Is Your Destiny?
- The Book of Revelation Unveiled
- The Middle East in Bible Prophecy
- Are We Living in the Time of the End?
- You Can Understand Bible Prophecy
- The United States and Britain in Bible Prophecy
- The Ten Commandments
- The Gospel of the Kingdom
- Holidays or Holy Days: Does It Matter Which Days We Keep?
- Why Does God Allow Suffering?
- Jesus Christ: The Real Story
These booklets are in-depth studies of topics that The Good News magazine can only cover in an abbreviated form. Please don't hesitate to order your own copies of the booklets that are of interest to you, or you can read and download them online at our Web site.
Speaking of Web sites, visitors to beyondtoday.tv (Beyond Today is our television program) increased by 122 percent last year, and those to our World News and Prophecy Web site—www.wnponline.org—increased by nearly 300 percent!
We are very pleased to see such response to the gospel of Jesus Christ. As soon as I finish this update this morning, I will be leaving on a trip to Africa to visit some of our Church members and to see what can be done to more effectively preach the good news there. Africa so desperately needs Jesus Christ to return to end its suffering. But the same can be said for any place on earth! Other areas may be physically rich, but when people are living in spiritual and moral poverty, they suffer, too, and need Christ just as much.
We thank you deeply for your interest and prayers for the success of these efforts. Every magazine and booklet we send is totally free of charge, but we hope the outcomes in people's lives will be priceless.
Take care, and may God be with you,
