Why has the Middle East been the center of
so
much conflict over the centuries? Why is it torn by
hatred and bloodshed today? What are the roots of
these problems and how will
they be solved?
Astonishingly, this history
of conflict was prophesied
thousands of years ago in
the pages of your Bible. In
Zechariah 12:2-3, God foretells
that Jerusalem would be
"a cup of drunkenness to all
the surrounding peoples,"
driving them mad in their conflicts over Israel's
ancient capital. He also described Jerusalem as "a
very heavy stone" that would "cut in pieces" those
who gather against it. Could any words better
describe the futile efforts for peace in this strifetorn
city?
But the Bible reveals so much more. Its prophets
foretold the rise and fall of empires and kingdoms
that would rule this region. Egypt, Israel, Assyria,
Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome all came and
went—but a great end-time conflict will eclipse
them all and bring humanity to the brink of
extinction.
When
will this happen? Can we know how will it come about? Be sure
to request your free copy of the eye-opening booklet The
Middle East in Bible Prophecy to understand these
crucial events!
