Whatever we do, in our teams, our families, our jobs, our communities or our nation, if we are to be successful, we must learn to work together as a team.

Making Life Work
Looking for some good advice? You may not realize it, but you probably already own the best self-help book ever published, one that's loaded with practical guidance to help you achieve success in your career, friendships, finances, family and every other aspect of life. That book is your Bible.

Video Transcript

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the Super Bowl Champions this year. What an exciting game it was! It took a last minute drive and plenty of coordinated teamwork to score the winning touchdown after the Cardinals rallied in the fourth quarter to go ahead in the game. The Cardinals played tough defense on Pittsburgh throughout the game showing great teamwork themselves. But in the end the Steelers were victorious.

What makes a team champions? Sometimes luck, sometimes talent, but most of all it's determination and teamwork! A team that is hitting on all cylinders defensively and offensively will usually dominate and win. A football coach has his hands full with over 50 professional players to mold into one unified team. Egos get in the way. And while individual statistics are important to the players, the team must come first. The franchise that realizes that there is no "I" in Team will usually prevail.

Whatever we do, in our teams, our families, our jobs, our communities or our nation, if we are to be successful, we must learn to work together as a team. No team can be effective if it is divided against itself with players on the team who have their own agendas. No family will be successful if each family member is in it for him or herself. Businesses are successful when they have effective teambuilding and teamwork.

Throughout the Bible we find the value of teamwork highlighted. Great things happen when people work together.

So, in whatever group you find yourself—family, friends, team, work, community or your country, seek to cooperate and put the interests of the team ahead of yourself. Remember, there is no "I" in teamwork.

And yes, I‘m very happy to have cited this Super Bowl example since I am an enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Way to go Steelers!
